Purification principle of ecological floating island
On the one hand, it is manifested in the use of plant roots with a large surface area to form a dense network in water, adsorb a large amount of suspended solids in the water, and gradually form a biofilm on the surface of the plant roots. Microorganisms in the biofilm engulf and metabolize pollutants in the water into inorganic substances, making them plant nutrients. Through photosynthesis, they are converted into components of plant cells, promoting their growth. Finally, by harvesting floating island plants and capturing fish and shrimp, the nutrient content in the water is reduced;
On the other hand, floating islands inhibit the photosynthesis of algae by blocking sunlight, reduce the growth of phytoplankton, and promote the settlement of phytoplankton through contact precipitation, effectively preventing the occurrence of "algal blooms" and improving the transparency of the water body. Its effect is more obvious compared to the former.
